Greg Playford is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and Brock University and became a Mortgage Broker in 1985 after ten years as a Program Manager at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation ( CMHC ). In 1991, he formed Devonshire Financial. His client list includes some of Ontario's most active developers. Greg's areas of specialty include financing and refinancing of large income producing, commercial and industrial (ICI) properties, housing co-operatives, non-profits, rental apartments, condominiums, retirement and nursing homes. He has also arranged financing for senior's 'life-lease' communities and has spoken nationally on the subject. For over thirty years, Greg has been involved with Affordable Housing as an administrator, volunteer board member, financier and consultant. His unique qualifications in this specialized area have helped many non-profit and private projects become a reality and many more to reorganize or refinance.

Greg Playford believes in affordable housing and his life's work and his community involvement speaks volumes about his commitment to helping people. Greg has been assisting non-profit and co-op housing projects since 1977 in his role at CMHC and then with his work [since]... As President of Homes Unlimited, he played a key role in the establishment of two affordable housing projects in London that resulted in 142 units. He has also served as a consultant on a number of other projects developed under the Canada Ontario Affordable Housing Program.... Community action and participation has always been a part of Greg's life and his volunteer time has included serving as Chair of the City of London Community Housing Advisory Committee, Vice-Chair of the London & Middlesex Housing Authority, and President of Home Unlimited.
